Who is responsible for your data?

What data do we collect, and why?

• Quote and contact forms: first name, surname, email, phone and your message. Purpose: to answer your request and prepare a quote. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures.
• Firewood alert (newsletter): your email. Purpose: to let you know about new firewood and offers by email and/or SMS. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (unsubscribe link in every message, or simply ask at fbs59540@orange.fr).
• Audience measurement: anonymous visit statistics (pages viewed, referrer) via PostHog, set up without cookies or persistent trackers. No data is matched with your identity.

Where is your data stored, and for how long?

Requests are stored securely on Supabase (servers in Paris, France) and forwarded to our mailbox. Quote requests are kept for 3 years after the last contact. Alert emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Our emails and text messages are sent via Brevo (a French company, GDPR compliant). Your data is never sold or passed on.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to and port your data. To exercise these rights, write to us at fbs59540@orange.fr or by post to the address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).

Cookies

This site does not use advertising cookies. Only technical cookies strictly necessary for the site to work may be set, along with anti-bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) on our forms. Facebook and YouTube video player cookies are only set if you start a video (see below).

Facebook and YouTube videos

Our videos are hosted by Facebook (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) and played in a viewer on our site. Thumbnails are served by our server: until you start a video, your browser does not contact Meta and your IP address is not sent to it. An information line, shown with each set of videos before any click, reminds you of this. Clicking a thumbnail starts playback: this counts as consent for the duration of your visit. The Facebook player (Meta's JavaScript development kit, loaded from connect.facebook.net) is only loaded at that point; the video starts muted (the player's speaker turns the sound on), and the following videos load automatically as you scroll to them. Meta may then set cookies and process browsing data, including through a transfer to the United States governed by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under its own privacy policy (link: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/ (new tab)). The “Stop loading the player” button, in the viewer, withdraws this consent: the player is removed and no further video is loaded; the Facebook kit already loaded stays in memory until the page is reloaded. Without playback, no data is sent to Meta.

The BBC report is played in the same viewer, with the YouTube player (Google Ireland Limited), in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Its image is a copy served by our site: until you click it, your browser does not contact Google and no image is loaded from YouTube. Clicking this image (or, in the viewer, the extract's ▶) loads the player and starts the extract: this counts as consent for the duration of your visit. Google may then set cookies and process browsing data, including through a transfer to the United States governed by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under its own privacy policy (link: https://policies.google.com/privacy (new tab)). The two consents are separate: starting a Facebook video never loads the YouTube player, and starting the extract never loads the Facebook player, even when scrolling through the viewer (a new click on ▶ is then required); “Stop loading the player” withdraws both. Without a click, no data is sent to Google.
